The Pursuing or Identity - Why people should have a conscience while choosing their role models

  Every person, ever since they were young, has always wanted to become like someone, they are always inspired by someone, like a young kid wanting become an NBA player when he grows up, inspired by Micheal Jordan or a kid wanting to become a scientist, inspired by Einstein or Newton, these famous names that changed the world are Role Models for some people. Human Beings always have had the desire to seek guidance, inspiration, and validation from those whom they admire. It’s a natural instinct to emulate the characteristics and qualities of their role models. In a way, Role Models play an important role in a person’s life, positively or negatively. Titan’s Huge Ego

    Picture this: the year 1912, a time when the Titanic, the largest and most luxurious ship in the world, was about to set sail. It was a marvel, a floating palace on the high seas, boasting opulence that rivaled the grandest hotels of the era but I always thought the Titanic was just a ship that had a huge ego and that it had it coming, it needed to be humbled which did happen but at the cost of 1500 lives and I felt that the only good thing that came out of the tragic incident was the movie. The Titanic’s ignorance, not having enough lifeboats on board, and ignoring iceberg warnings thinking that the Titanic was unsinkable, were some of the reasons why it sank. I guess you can give the Captain of the ship some credit as he did something impossible, sinking the unsinkable. Dirk Nowitzk - The statue for a lifelong Maverick

Once in a while, in a sport, certain players can change the game itself and become something great. Dirk Nowitzki is one of those players considered great without a doubt.  Dirk Nowitzki, the German power-forward was born on June 19, 1978, in Wurzburg, West Germany. Dirk took up basketball at age 13, his family all being basketball players quickly helped him improve, and by age 16 the 7-footer started playing for a professional basketball team. At age 20 Dirk entered the 1998 NBA draft and was soon drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks as the 9th overall pick. Later that day would be the start of his legacy as he was soon traded to the Dallas Mavericks where Dirk had a 21-year-long-career which would shape the future of the franchise. During his career with the Mavericks, Dirk became the franchise’s leading scorer, a 14-time NBA all-star, and a 12-time All-NBA team selection.
